Research Software

Angular Factors Calculator

A Python package and command-line tool for calculating angle-resolved annihilation-photon correlation factors for an annular NaI(Tl) detector. I developed the mathematical implementation, ROOT analysis, coefficient-based calculation, numerical cross-checks, structured outputs, tests, documentation, and citation metadata.

The package reproduces the results of my conference paper submitted to the DAE Symposium on Nuclear Physics 2026 on 8 September 2026. It is the public annular-method stage that precedes our separate ongoing application to the near-4π soccer-ball detector.

Geant4 Detector Simulation Pipeline

Type: Research software

A Python-assisted Geant4 workflow for automated scintillation detector response simulations. The project integrates a Geant4 C++ backend with Python automation for macro generation, campaign execution, ROOT-file validation, deposited-energy spectrum generation, count extraction, plotting, and result organisation.

The pipeline supports monoenergetic gamma simulations, radioactive-decay simulations, multiple detector geometries, multiple scintillator materials, and ROOT-based deposited-energy analysis.

This project forms the basis of my master’s thesis and my first-author poster presentation at IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium 2026. A privately extended working copy now supports my research on coincidence-summing corrections for Na-22, O-14, and Sc-44 in a near-4π NaI(Tl) soccer-ball detector array, including custom source modelling and 10^8-event simulation campaigns.

The unpublished research extensions and outputs are not included in the public repository until approved for public release by the supervisor.

Research Instrumentation

Radio Telescope Control and Embedded Linux Support

Role: Assisting contributor
Type: Student-led research instrumentation project

Contributed to Raspberry Pi-based embedded Linux and hardware-control support for a student-led radio telescope project under the Physics and Astronomy Club, IIT Roorkee.

My contributions included developing and configuring parts of the embedded Linux environment, supporting networking functionality, and assisting with hardware-control integration for telescope operation.

Systems Engineering

Raspberry Pi Home Server and Network Gateway

Designed and maintain a Raspberry Pi-based home server for self-hosted services, network management, and automation.

The system includes Docker-based services for media hosting, home automation, file sharing, DNS filtering, reverse proxy access, and network gateway functionality.

Hackathon Project

WiFi IP Mouse

Built a WiFi-based IP mouse system using Raspberry Pi during the Syntax Error Hackathon organised by SDS Labs, IIT Roorkee.

The project implemented a Raspberry Pi-based wireless control interface over a local network and was developed under hackathon time constraints.

Embedded Systems

IoT Smart Switch with Alexa Integration

Built a Wi-Fi-enabled smart switch from scratch using an ESP8266 microcontroller and relay-based switching to control household lights and fans through Alexa voice commands.

Python + MySQL Travel Agency Management System
